Topmade Dragon Boat Club (TDBC)
is a non-profit club (Corporate Access Number: 5010857844)
that has a history of dragon boating in Calgary since 1994.
What started out as a single corporate team and event sponsor
has developed into a new, leading, independent dragon boat
club consisting of 6 teams with over 90 members.
Over the past 10 years,
the club has developed into one of the most dominant dragon
boat clubs in Calgary, recognized as a leading club in Alberta
and an upcoming powerhouse in Western Canada. To further
our commitment to becoming a prominent dragon boat club,
the club recently purchased its own dragon boat. We are
the only club in Alberta that owns its own boat and Personal
Floatation Devices (PFD).
Our mission is to provide
all our members with an opportunity to race in a fun and
rewarding atmosphere that develops team unity and a sense
of team accomplishment. We take pride in our efforts to
develop both our paddler’s and crew performance, always
raising the standard of our clubs’ paddling.
As a result, we
have seen our membership base increase exponentially over
the last few years. We have members from all walks of life
with all types of dragon boat experience, from the very
novice to some of the city’s top paddlers who have
international competition experience.
