Dragon Boat Practice Expectation and Schedule
Practice Times
The time shown on the Calendar are
the times the boat LEAVES the dock.
All members are expected to arrive 15-20
minutes prior to the listed time to alot for changing time
and to participate in the team stretch and pre-practice
meeting.
Practice Attendance and Cancellations
All members are expected
to show up for practice, rain or shine.
A practice cancellation
decision will only occur at the practice site and as
a TEAM decision.
The Boat Patrol can cancel all practices
due to severe weather conditions (i.e. lightening).
If practice is cancelled, teams might
take this opportunity to due some team building at one
of our restaurant/pub sponsors.
Practices will not be conducted if
there are <10 paddlers present.
Practice attendance is a factor in deciding
the race roster composition on race weekend.
Historically, over the last three years,
we have only canelled a total of 5 practices.
Team Committment!!! Be committed
to your team and respect those that you paddle with. Respect
the time that your seat partner commits to the practice and
show up to practice.
